DONATIONS
Recognizing the needs of the Piscataway people socially, economically and spiritually, we
have developed the Wannis project.
Project Wannis cares about the future of its Indigenous population and is dedicated to
increasing the number of students enrolled with the Piscataway Tribe and Native
American students now living in the Washington Metropolitan area.
We do recognize that not all students are college bound and so we hope to provide
scholarships to students who are gifted in non-traditional fields such as media, film, and
the arts, while also encouraging and helping students to pursue a career in the fields of
health, science, agriculture, forestry, education and counseling. These are all fields which
Native Americans are grossly underrepresented.
The tribe also provides scholarships to Piscataway students who desire to volunteer their
services in other cities, states and/or countries where the needs are great
We invite you to consider how you could help Maryland's Native American students to
achieve their goals and success through affording them higher educational opportunities.
We would like to encourage organizations and
individuals who currently work in these area to
serve as advisors/ mentors. Please call the office
