The 2008 Piscataway Festival and Pow Wow has been
cancelled. We thank you all for your past support. We
hope to see you again in 2009!
Welcome! We hope you enjoy your visit with us and that you leave with a better
understanding of the history and culture of the Piscataway people.

For centuries, our ancestors inhabited the woodlands of southern Maryland.
Today, on the same land between the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay, we
continue to celebrate our rich heritage. Despite today's challenges, we are working
hard to pass on our customs, values and history to current and future generations
of Piscataway. Additionally, it is our hope that an acknowledgement of the
contributions made by the indigenous people of Maryland will lead to a greater
appreciation and more complete understanding of the history and people of this
state and nation.

If you plan to visit Washington, D.C. or southern Maryland sometime—or even
live in the area—please stop by and see us. We are conveniently located just
twenty miles south of the nation’s capital. For a map and directions, simply click
on "Directions".
